A world-unique shrine where the 20-foot idol of Lord Hanuman is worshipped in a reclining (sleeping) position slightly below ground level.
Located near the Allahabad Fort on the banks of Triveni Sangam, legend says Hanuman Ji rested here after conquering Lanka. During annual monsoon floods, the rising waters of River Ganga submerge and bathe the deity, celebrated as 'Ganga Snan' by devotees.
